Sleep Over At The School Hall For EOTC Week 2016

Sleepover At School

On Wednesday evening at 5:45 for EOTC week the year fives and sixes had a sleepover at the school hall. I got dropped off and my dad and my brother helped me carry what I needed for the night into the hall. We walked into the hall and people were already setting up their beds. I put my stuff by the window by my friends. We set up our beds and got comfy. More people started arriving and the hall got packed. Suddenly Miss suiter got our attention and she told us we were going to do some games and she also told us the rules. We all got split up into two groups and one group did cricket and the other group did Hockey and Basketball. I was in the Hockey and Basketball team with some of my friends.

It began to get dark so we walked back to the school hall and the teachers let us play spotlight around the school. I was with Cyrus and Rita. We ran around and spotted over 300 people. The rules were that you can find the same person but you have to wait a minute or two. We kept running around until one of the techers blew the whistle for us to come back. We ran back to the hall because of an accident that happened while we were playing. Then we got to go out and play again. Except this time only two people were in. Rita and I ran to the big adventure playground and hid there. The teachers told us to come back to the hall so we did. Everyone came back and sat down at their beds.

We got to eat the home baking that people brought in. After we ate we got to have a milo. Some people didn’t like it because it wasn’t sweet and it didn’t have sugar but I didn’t mind it. After we drank the teachers put on a movie. The movie was called Flubber. My friends and I moved our beds into the middle of the hall and watched the movie there. The movie was about a guy who invented this green bouncy jelly thing. We didn’t get to finish the movie that night because it was getting late. Two of my friends moved back to their spot but Rita, Nina and I stayed in the middle and slept there.

The next morning came and people were up at 5:00  and were talking. I woke up at 5:30 and My friends were up too. We stayed up and talked and then the teachers got up and it was time to get dressed. We all got dressed and we went outside to do fitness. For fitness we did laps around the field and we did some events. It started to spit so we went back inside and the teachers were getting breakfast ready. I had baked beans on toast and other people had weetbix. After breakfast we cleaned up our beds and moved it into our classrooms. Then we played board games in the hall.

Suddenly the teachers wanted us to get our lunch boxes out so we did. Then we sat on the ground and waited for the teacher to give instructions.They called us up in year groups so they could make us sandwiches. Then we got to grab some home baking leftovers and we got to grab a fruit cup to eat for the pools. We got into our class lines and the teachers gave us instructions about the pools. We walked to the bus stop outside. There were two or three buses waiting to take us down to the pools. We walked to one of the buses and hopped on. We were all ready to go to the pools.
